Our Math Programs
Math Programs Overview
At North Texas Math, our math programs are thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, build strong foundational skills, and challenge students to reach their full potential. Whether your child is just beginning their math journey or tackling advanced topics, you’ll find a math program that fits their unique learning needs.
Our after school math programs offer engaging, hands-on activities and personalized instruction that make learning enjoyable and effective. Students work through real-world problems, develop critical thinking skills, and gain confidence in their mathematical abilities. Each class is structured to provide meaningful math help for kids, empowering them to understand core concepts deeply and perform better in school.
At North Texas Math, we believe that every child can excel in mathematics with the right support and environment. Foundation Classes
Our Foundation Math Programs are designed to build a strong mathematical foundation for students in grades KG–5. These engaging and skill-based after school math programs—Foundation 1 through 4—focus on essential concepts such as number sense, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. By developing these core skills early, students gain the confidence and ability needed to succeed in higher-level math.
Unlike traditional grade-based courses, our math programs are not tied to a specific grade level. This flexible approach allows every child to learn at their own pace, ensuring they master each concept before moving forward. Whether your child needs extra practice or seeks greater challenges, our math help for kids provides the personalized support they need to thrive.
At North Texas Math, we make learning math fun, engaging, and effective—helping students strengthen their foundation while discovering the joy of problem-solving through our comprehensive math programs.
Introduction Classes
Our Introduction to Algebra and Geometry classes are part of our comprehensive math programs designed to help students smoothly transition from elementary math to more advanced topics in Algebra and Geometry. These engaging courses provide essential math help for kids who are ready to move beyond basic arithmetic and begin exploring the logical reasoning and abstract thinking skills needed for success in higher math.
Primarily intended for 5th and 6th graders, these after school math programs are flexible and not strictly grade-based. If your child has mastered foundational math concepts, they are welcome to enroll regardless of grade level. Likewise, 7th graders who need additional reinforcement in Algebra or Geometry can also benefit from these classes.
Our curriculum is skill-focused rather than grade-focused, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace while strengthening their problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence. Through our thoughtfully structured math programs, we help each child build a solid bridge between foundational math and the challenges of advanced coursework.
Algebra Classes
At North Texas Math, our Algebra program is a key part of our comprehensive math programs, designed to give students a deep, lasting understanding of Algebra through structured, skill-based learning. The curriculum is divided into three progressive levels—Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Advanced Algebra—allowing students to advance based on mastery rather than grade level.
Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are eligible to enroll in Beginning Algebra. Like all of our after school math programs, the Algebra curriculum is fully aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for Grades 7–8 and Algebra 1 & 2. By completing these courses, students not only meet but often exceed state standards, gaining the confidence and critical thinking skills necessary for long-term success in higher-level mathematics.
Our math help for kids focuses on providing personalized guidance, consistent reinforcement, and engaging problem-solving experiences. We introduce advanced concepts earlier than traditional curricula and strengthen understanding through repetition and application over time.
Our Approach: A Three-Year Algebra Sequence
Our three-year Algebra program offers continuous, uninterrupted instruction that builds a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning. Unlike the standard high school pathway that separates Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 with a year of Geometry, our structure ensures smoother progression and better concept retention. This unique approach helps students:
Develop a deeper understanding of algebraic principles.
Strengthen fluency with essential concepts for Precalculus and Calculus.
Improve long-term retention and problem-solving skills.
GAP Year Algebra Course
For students who have completed Algebra 1 and are currently enrolled in Geometry, we offer a GAP Year Algebra course as part of our flexible after school or online math programs. This course reinforces Algebra 1 concepts while introducing foundational topics from Algebra 2, helping students maintain their skills and confidence between courses.
At North Texas Math, we are committed to offering math help for kids through thoughtfully designed math programs that encourage mastery, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning mathematics.
Geometry Classes
At North Texas Math, our Geometry program is part of our comprehensive math programs designed to give students the time, support, and structure they need to master key geometry skills. The program is divided into two progressive levels—Beginning Geometry and Intermediate Geometry—allowing students to build a deep understanding of geometric concepts over time rather than rushing through a single school-year course. By the end of these classes, students are well-prepared to advance to Trigonometry or Advanced Geometry (please note: these courses are not currently offered at North Texas Math).
Our after school math programs provide a flexible and supportive environment where students in grades 7 and 8 can thrive. Like all our courses, the Geometry curriculum aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for Grades 7–8 and Geometry, ensuring consistency with school expectations while going beyond them to strengthen problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
Through small-group instruction and individualized math help for kids, students gain confidence, improve critical thinking, and develop a genuine appreciation for mathematics. Whether your child is preparing for advanced coursework, seeking academic excellence, or needs extra support to strengthen their foundation, our Geometry program offers the tools, time, and guidance to help them succeed.
At North Texas Math, we believe in introducing key concepts earlier and reinforcing them over a longer period—an approach that ensures deeper understanding, stronger retention, and long-term success in all areas of math.
